Chris Griffiths - Director
A good communicator with strong analytical and strategic planning skills, Chris has multi-disciplined communications expertise in advertising, direct marketing, PR, corporate design and print. He also has extensive experience in directing and co-ordinating international advertising campaigns. He has a reputation for quickly understanding clients' needs and developing close working relationships with both client and agency personnel.
After graduating in Economics and Econometrics from York University in 1982 he joined the marketing department of Smiths Industries. He moved into advertising in 1983, with Sawards where he cut his teeth on Sun Alliance's Direct Marketing account. At Ogilvy & Mather his main responsibility was the international co-ordination of Polaroid's account across Europe and the Middle East, also working for Lever Bros (Comfort Fabric Conditioner), Ford and Imperial Tobacco.
Later at Dewe Rogerson, Chris ran the CEGB (Central Electricity Generating Board) pre-privatisation campaign and British Steel's corporate advertising for 4 years. He was also responsible for high-profile international campaigns in support of mergers and acquisitions during the flurry of activity immediately following the deregulation of European financial markets in the late '80s and early '90s. His campaign to announce the formation of the ING Group ran in 13 different languages across 19 countries throughout the world.
On leaving Dewe Rogerson in 1992, Chris launched Crusader to bring his big agency experience to clients who reject the high cost and bureaucracy that often accompanies the traditional agency offering. Outside advertising, his main interests are tennis, golf, motor racing and gardening.
